36 systems with Cradle-to-Cradle Certified® product certification

heroal aluminium system solutions have a huge impact on the building shell. Their exceptional durability ensures that they remain in a building for decades before being recycled. The Cradle to Cradle Certified® product certification in the silver and bronze categories confirms the consistent commitment to sustainability throughout the entire product life cycle of the solutions. The company has already achieved a high level of coverage with 36 currently certified systems in the window, door, curtain wall, lifting-sliding and fire safety system product areas. The internationally recognised certification is used as the verification document in many green building standards for renovations and new builds, such as LEED, DGNB and BREEAM. The company also intends to include roller shutter and sun protection in its certification portfolio.

heroal partners benefit from the certifications in a number of ways. Using recyclable products allows them to contribute to greater sustainability in their construction projects and they can actively use the benefits, such as the durability and recyclability of heroal systems, in customer consultations. Cradle to Cradle Certified® products also allow partners to participate in invitations to tender with all significant certification systems in Europe. heroal system solutions for passive house constructions, with the PH (passive house) identifier, provide even greater added value: they support the energy-efficient operation of the building throughout its entire useful life.

Easy access to environmental product declarations

What’s more, heroal can also supply fabricators with the necessary evidence on sustainable construction for invitations to tender with EPD requirements. The creation of project-specific environmental product declarations is made particularly easy for company partners: for heroal window, lifting-sliding, door and curtain wall systems, EPDs for frame profiles and defined dimensions can be quickly and easily requested in the heroal Communicator. Alternatively, they can also be retrieved from the ÖKOBAUDAT database.
